After a brutal stretch, the Arkansas Razorbacks get some relief on Saturday. They’ll welcome the woeful Coastal Carolina Chanticleers to Fayetteville, where they’ll look to ignite sparks of hope for one final run. The Hogs have knocked off their fair share of quality opponents in year’s past in November; the No. 20-ranked LSU Tigers and No. 8-ranked Ole Miss Rebels in 2014; Ole Miss and LSU again in 2015 when they were ranked 19th and 9th; and the Florida Gators last year when they were ranked 10th.

That said... CCU is far from quality, unfortunately. The Chanticleers haven’t won a Sun Belt FUN BELT Conference game this season. They’re 1-7 and have taken seven straight losses since a 38-28 win over UMass to start the year. They rank 115th in S&P+, 94th on offense, 114th on defense, and are giving up 37.9 points per game. Their 23.5 points per game scored on offense isn’t quite doing the trick, to put it mildly.

The Hogs should be able to find success on the ground against CCU’s defense. Their opponents on Saturday are 115th in Rushing S&P+ defense and 80th in Rush Success Rate. Expect some big games from Chase Hayden, David Williams and Devwah Whaley, Arkansas’ trio of 300+ yard rushers this season.

Even though Arkansas has their issues on defense, this game probably won’t be close.

Prediction: Arkansas 41, Coastal Carolina 20
