Report: Mizzou Athletics may have found its new AD as San Diego State AD Jim Sterk is in line for the position

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The long winded search for a new athletic director for Mizzou Athletics may have finally reached its end. Per the report of Bill Pollock of Missourinet.com, San Diego State AD Jim Sterk is the man who is next in line to work the same position for the university based out of Columbia, Missouri.

The report would later be corroborated by PowerMizzou.com’s Gabe DeArmond.

Sterk is a more than qualified candidate for the position and oversaw tremendous success at SDSU since arriving in 2010. The Aztecs have had prosperity in football and men’s basketball first and foremost with Aztec basketball of course being the figurehead. The two programs have amassed a combined win percentage of 75.2 percent since Sterk arrived which is fourth-highest in the nation per his bio page on GoAztecs.com.

After an eventful few months, if this report is indeed correct, hopefully Mizzou Athletics has found some continuity and will have an AD lead them out of the darkness that they currently find themselves enveloped in.
