Everything is coming up in CoMO for Mizzou. The Tigers landed a new athletic director earlier in the week as Jim Sterk, formerly of San Diego State, will transition over to the same role on September 1. On Wednesday, the Tigers received more good news as they picked up their 12th commit of the 2017 class in the form of Reyondous Estes.
The news that Estes, a dual-threat quarterback from East St. Louis, Illinois, would join the Tigers was first reported by EDGYTIM.com on Wednesday afternoon via their Twitter account. Estes was formerly a commit for Western Michigan but decommitted and decided to instead plan to head to Columbia next season.

With Drew Lock cemented as the starting quarterback for Missouri, you shouldn’t expect Estes to see the field unless large strides or made or if Lock has another set of bumps in the road as he did in his first year under center for the Tigers. It’s unclear what will happen in a year from now though, so only time will tell with regards to when we will see the East St. Louis native take a snap for Barry Odom’s team.
247Sports Composite Rankings has Estes ranked in the Top 50 at his position and in the state of Illinois and is a three-star recruit via the composite services. The addition of Estes keeps Mizzou in the Top 50 nationally but still at 13th in the SEC among the 14 teams in the conference.
Via Under The Lights, here’s a highlight tape of Estes.
