Coming into tonight, it was no secret that the Georgia Bulldogs possessed one of the best recruiting classes of 2017. With seven blue-chip players, they were clearly doing well on the recruiting trail during Kirby Smart's first year in Athens.
Tonight, they earned the commitment of their eighth blue-chip recruit in the class of 2017.
Latavious Brini, a four star cornerback and Florida native, announced via Twitter his selection of Georgia late Sunday night. Brini is ranked as a top-300 player nationally on Scout and 247sports, the former of which currently has him as one of the 30 best cornerbacks in the country.

Brini, the 6'2", 180-pound defensive back, fielded offers from a myriad of top-tier football programs (visiting Notre Dame, Miami, and Alabama), but many 247sports soothsayers saw Brini's decision as a choice between Georgia and Florida. Brini wound up choosing the Bulldogs. Best of luck to Latavious Brini during his time in Athens!
After this most recent four-star commitment, it is very clear that Kirby Smart has certainly wasted no time trying to get some of the nation's top players to buy into what he's trying to do at Georgia, and it's clear that he has succeeded at getting many talented guys on board. It'll be interesting to see how quickly he'll be able to translate that into success on the field.
