NFL Draft 2016: Jonathan Bullard selected by the Chicago Bears

The Bears land another SEC player as Bullard is headed for The Windy City.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

After taking Leonard Floyd in the first round, the Chicago Bears have selected defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard from The University of Florida with the No. 72 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Bullard is the third Gator to be drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and the ninth Gator since 2000 to be drafted by the Bears.

He will be brought to a rebuilding defense in Chicago and has the clout and the nastiness to help bring the Bears' defense back to prominence. Running backs beware, as he excelled as a run stopper in Gainesville.

Congrats to Jonathan Bullard and best of luck with the Chicago Bears!
