NFL Draft 2016: Chris Jones drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs

Mississippi State's bruising defensive tackle is headed to Kansas City.

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Mississippi State Bulldogs has seen its fair share of defensive players go to the league in the last few years with Fletcher Cox, K.J. Wright, Pernell McPhee and Darius Slay highlighting the list. Now, that list grows by one as defensive tackle Chris Jones has just been selected by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs used their No. 37 overall pick on Jones, a stout defensive tackle who has wreaked havoc in Starkville over the course of his college career. Jones is the fifth Bulldog to be drafted by the Chiefs and the first since offensive lineman Tre Stallings back in 2006.

Best of luck to Jones at the next level!
