The Alabama Crimson Tide's recent run on linebackers in the NFL Draft has continued Friday night in Chicago as Reggie Ragland has just been selected with the No. 41  overall pick by the Buffalo Bills.

Ragland is the sixth Tide linebacker to be chosen since 2011, the most of any position group in the program in that time period, as he joins Nico Johnson, Dont'a Hightower and Courtney Upshaw among others as draftees who played the position in Tuscaloosa.

The former four-star recruit and top-ranked linebacker in the state of Alabama will play football for the first time ever outside of the state as he joins the Bills and will be added to a defense that includes fellow former Crimson Tide defensive force Marcell Dareus.

Ragland's draft status changed quickly due to a medical issue. He was flagged for an enlarged aorta, which is not projected to impact his football career, but was enough to give some pause and impacted his selection.

Either way, Ragland has PLENTY to celebrate about. Best of luck to Ragland at the next level!
