Ole Miss Wide Receiver Laquon Treadwell has overcome a horrible injury two years ago against Auburn

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

November 1, 2014 was not a good day for Laquon Treadwell. In a double whammy stroke of bad luck, Ole Miss's best player broke his fibula and dislocated his ankle in one of the final plays of the game, where Ole Miss suffered a devastating loss again Auburn. The final score was 35-31 and Laquon's season was done. Even with missing three games, he led the team with 632 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 48 catches.

He returned the following season, 15 pounds lighter, and faster than ever. Two years after that horrible injury, he stands to fare pretty well in tonight's NFL draft. While there have been some changes in projections - Treadwell himself was quoted as saying

"I just gotta accept where I go and make the most of it..."

That injury back in November 2014 could have been career ending.

In case you missed it, here's the video from that fated Ole Miss - Auburn game. So. tough. to. watch.
