Brett McMurphy and Chris Low of ESPN are reporting that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is bound for Boca Raton.
Kiffin has reportedly accepted the head coach position at Florida Atlantic according to the two aforementioned college football reporters at the Worldwide Leader.

Low would then go on to say that Kiffin will still be running the offense in Alabama’s postseason play.
I'm told that Lane Kiffin plans to remain as Alabama's offensive coordinator throughout the College Football Playoff.

Kiffin’s name had come up in many locales this offseason. Houston, South Florida, LSU (as offensive coordinator) were three of the places that the Crimson Tide’s OC were discussed, but ultimately Lane will now be heading the charge with the Owls should this report prove to be true.
Obviously, Lane has had his fair share of struggles coaching in the past. He’s accumulated a record of merely 35-21 in his stops at Tennessee and USC with controversial exits occurring at both. Perhaps being away from the head coaching ranks for the past few years will have reshaped him, but time will tell.
Nevertheless, the Florida recruiting game just got even tougher. As if it was bad enough to have Jimbo Fisher, Mark Richt, Charlie Strong, Butch Davis, Scott Frost and Jim McElwain around, now Lane Kiffin, who has proven to be a strong recruiter in the past, is in the Sunshine State now. The word ‘spectacle’ could be tossed around to describe how things are going to go down in Florida now.
