Thought to be a contender in the SEC this year, the Ole Miss Rebels have had a rough go in 2016. The Rebels, to this point, are 4-5 with bowl eligibility being in question now with only a few games left in their season.
The chances of making a bowl game have thinned up a bit according ta a report from Chuck Rounsaville of Scout.com. Rounsaville is reporting that Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly is downed with a knee injury and will miss the remainder of the 2016 season.
Confirmed. QB Chad Kelly out for the year with knee injury. The hits keep coming.

Hugh Kellenberger of the Jackson Clarion-Ledger corroborated the report later on and stated that Kelly tore his ACL and lateral meniscus.

Hard to overstate how much that loss means.
Up to this point, Kelly had amassed 2,758 yards, 19 TD and 9 INT on the year with a completion percentage of 62.3 percent. Needless to say, this is a tough blow for both Ole Miss and Kelly, who was set to graduate and head to the NFL Draft next spring. Best of luck to him in recovery.
