Monday afternoon brought on the revealing of this week’s AP Top 25 and USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
In both polls, seven teams from the SEC are featured amongst the pack. There are a few differences though between the polls, but the consistencies over the past few weeks remain the same.
Alabama is still the No. 1 team in both polls this week after their win over Arkansas this past weekend. Staying in the Top 10 with the Crimson Tide are the Texas A&M Aggies who bump up to No. 6 in both polls after their dramatic win over Tennessee in College Station. The aforementioned Volunteers are still in the AP Top 25 but fall out of the Top 10 in the Coaches Poll as they sit at No. 11.
Things get a bit different from there though. In the AP poll, the next team featured is the Ole Miss Rebels at No. 12. The next team in the SEC to be featured is the Florida Gators, who sit at No. 18. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Rebels and Gators are also featured in the Coaches poll but come in at No. 13 and No. 14 in the poll.
After that, the AP rounds out with Arkansas and Auburn, who is new to the poll, at No. 22 and 23. The USA TODAY poll also features the Hogs at No. 22, but the LSU Tigers meanwhile are back in the poll at No. 25. Auburn just missed the cut at No. 26.
