Odds: 33-point spread in Auburn’s favor
Coming off a tight win over LSU, head coach Gus Malzhan is still here to fight another day. This week’s game should be another great momentum builder and confidence booster for the Tigers, as they go up against UL Monroe.
Auburn’s offense is not the greatest, and has been depending on field goals to save them but quarterback Sean White and running back Kerryon Johnson are expected to put up great numbers this week. White has not thrown a touchdown since Week 1 where he threw three against Arkansas State. Johnson may have a field day against UL Monroe’s defense, as they are giving up almost 300 rushing yards per game alone. Johnson rushed for 93 yards, averaging approximately four yards per carry last week against LSU. So, expect Johnson to likely pile up 100+ yards in this upcoming encounter.
UL Monroe is coming off a bye week and two-game losing streak. They are a little fresh and they may give Auburn a bit of a headache, but likely not big enough to beat them.
Auburn has three tough games coming up and this game should be a confidence booster for them. Coach Malzahn has given up play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. Will it make a bit of a difference?
I look for Auburn to run away with this game, winning by the score of 28-10.
