Last week: 10-1 straight up, 4-5-1 against the spread
Season: 29-3 straight up, 12-12-1 against the spread
The number of games to pick each week is falling, which is always a good thing. It means we're getting far enough into the schedule that conference games are increasing in number and cupcakes are going away. It's about time.
As always, the lines come from the Yahoo! pick 'em game.
Georgia (-41) over Troy 55-10
Troy is horrible, so look for UGA to take out some frustrations in this one.
Alabama (-14) over Florida 27-10
I'd love to be wrong, believe me, but I don't think I will be. Florida's secondary other than Vernon Hargreaves III is young and vulnerable, Alabama's front seven will dominate the Gators' offensive line, and it's more a matter of when, not if, Jeff Driskel will make big mistakes. You have to throw to beat Bama, and I don't think Driskel can do it.
Texas A&M (-33.5) over SMU 59-13
The Aggies can name their score, basically.
Missouri (-13.5) over Indiana 52-35
It kinda feels like this is going to be Maty Mauk's big breakout game where people beyond the conference begin to pay attention.
Arkansas (-13.5) over Northern Illinois 34-24
After last week's big win over Texas Tech, I expect this to be a bit of a let down performance from the Hogs. The Huskies are no joke, so they'll push the home team.
LSU (-9.5) over Mississippi State 19-13
This game is going to be ugly, drag-it-into-the-mud affair. Always take Les Miles in such games. Also, always take LSU over MSU in general.
South Carolina (-21) over Vanderbilt 42-10
This would be a let down spot for the Gamecocks just like with the Razorbacks, but Vandy is just so bad.
