So sad.

Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

Over the weekend, recent Auburn TE Philip Lutzenkirchen died following a car accident. He was just 23.

It's never good news to hear about an unexpected passing like this, but it's even worse when the person is so young. Lutzenkirchen was hated on the field for all the right reasons—he was good at getting that back breaking touchdown at the end of games for the Tigers—and well liked off it for being a generally good guy. As always, life is fragile. Cherish it while you can.

Lutzenkirchen wrote three articles for the main SBNation.com site. If you're thinking about him today, you might give them a read and ponder the future of a good person that will tragically never be.
