SEC Football Week 8 TV Schedule

Something will get proven one way or another.

Scott Halleran

GAME OF THE WEEK

Texas A&M at Alabama, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS

This series has been the best of the New SEC, but the stakes are a little different this year. A&M is reeling after two straight losses, while Bama very nearly could have suffered a second straight loss of its own a week ago. The Aggies probably need to win this to avoid finishing sixth in the division, while the Tide probably can't lose and still have a shot in the West.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18

Furman at South Carolina, noon ET, SEC Network

The Gamecocks won't lose this one, but they'll sweat it out anyway. That's how these games pretty much always go for them.

Georgia at Arkansas, 4 p.m. ET, SEC Network

The is the East division's last best chance at getting a win over the West this year.

Missouri at Florida, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN2

The winner stays in the division race while the loser probably bows out.

Tennessee at Ole Miss, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN

Between A&M and LSU, this would be a sandwich game for the Rebels if there was any shot that the Vols would score an offensive point.

Kentucky at LSU, 7:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network

The Wildcats can make a huge statement about their rate of improvement by taking down the vulnerable Tigers.
