Year2's Week 10 Picks

Not too many more of these to go, unfortunately.

Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE

Last week: 5-1 straight up, 1-5 against the spread

Season: 64-12 straight up, 37-28-1 against the spread

As always, the point spreads come from the Yahoo! pick 'em game.

South Carolina (-12.5) over Mississippi State 24-17

I don't see any way that South Carolina covers this spread for a number of reasons. First, noon is a dangerous time for favorites in the SEC. Second, this team of Gamecocks doesn't seem consistent enough to follow up last week's big win with another great performance. Third, both of these teams will be running the ball a lot, which should speed up the game and take away minutes for gratuitous points at the end. I'll take the points.

Georgia (-3) over Florida 27-13

I don't really have any faith in Florida's offense with all of the injuries and the complete lack of compensating for them by the coaching staff. Especially with Georgia getting some key players like Todd Gurley back, I expect UGA to win comfortably, if not by a true blowout score.

Auburn (-8) over Arkansas 38-20

I feel like this line is some kind of trick. I know about the Nick Marshall situation, but Auburn should be fine with or without him.

Missouri (-10.5) over Tennessee 19-10

I am certainly on board with the idea that Mizzou might have a hangover from last week. I am not on board with the idea that Tennessee can take an extremely green freshman on the road and win.

Texas A&M (-46) over UTEP 49-9

I know UTEP is awful, but I have a feeling that A&M will shut things down in the second half to avoid injuries.
