Topics for Discussion: The Most Surprising Team and the Health of Georgia and Jadeveon Clowney

A handful of things to converse about after the weekend that was in SEC football. Also inside: Is Tyler Murphy as good as he looks right now?

Who is your surprise team in the SEC? Auburn is suddenly looking like the fourth-best team in the SEC West, which isn't all that bad when you consider their competition. Missouri is 5-0 as they head to Georgia next week with a chance to prove once and for all that they can compete in the East. And while they aren't likely to claim a Capital One Bowl berth or anything, Tennessee came thisclose to knocking off Georgia. So who's doing better than you expected they would? Or conversely, who has disappointed you most?

Does it bother you that Georgia looks like an episode of Grey's Anatomy? We've already chronicled the incredible run of bad luck that the Dawgs faced in Knoxville on Saturday. Keeping in mind that Georgia has the tiebreaker against South Carolina and will have a few weeks to heal up before the Florida game, does that impact the Dawgs divisional hopes at all? And what about the national title picture, from which Georgia would likely be eliminated with just one more win?

How long can Tyler Murphy keep this up? The accidental starting quarterback for Florida had another solid outing Saturday, going 16-of-22 passing for 240 yards and three touchdowns. He's now 39-of-54 for 530 yards, five touchdowns and an interception this season. (Not all of that as a starter; Murphy has played in all five games.) So is Murphy really good? Or are we about to find out what Will Muschamp and Co. were concerned about when they decided to go with Jeff Driskel instead?

What's up with Jadeveon Clowney? It's clear that Steve Spurrier is not pleased with his former Heisman candidate, who seemed lackadaisical at times in the first four games and just flat-out told the coaching staff Saturday that he couldn't play against Kentucky. So do you believe the run of stomach bugs, hurt feet and bruised ribs that have reportedly hounded Clowney this season? Or do you think he's been taking it easy so as to not damage his NFL prospects? And will we see him on the field again for South Carolina?

Bowl projections. No, we're not going to ask you to try to guess who's going to which bowls, because that's absurd right now. Instead, which teams do you think will not make the cut for a bowl game? Sure, Kentucky. But who else is going to come up short of the .500 mark required for the postseason?
