Last Week: 5-2 straight up, 3-4 against the spread
Season: 62-14 straight up, 29-39 against the spread
Every game is an appetizer for the nightcap, it seems, but there are some good matchups nonetheless.
Florida (-17) over Missouri 24-13
The Gators will bounce back after their first loss, but enough has been exposed about them at this point that they probably won't run away with this one.
Vanderbilt (-7) over Kentucky 23-10
I'm not at the point where picking Vanderbilt to cover a touchdown spread on the road feels comfortable, but Kentucky is just awful and its season is basically done. Vandy still has a bowl berth to play for, and it should get another step down that road provided it doesn't try too many exotic things in fourth down situations.
Texas A&M (-7) over Mississippi State 34-30
The Aggies are a good team and will ultimately be fine in this one, but Tyler Russell will have a good day throwing the ball on them. In College Station I might pick A&M to cover, but it's hard to play well amidst the CLANGA CLANGA CLANGA if you're not used to it.
Tennessee (-18) over Troy 42-20
This is a game where the Vols can just let it rip and get out some frustrations.
Arkansas (-9) over Tulsa 39-35
I should probably just give up picking Arkansas games, but for now, I'll borrow the Solid Verbal guys' strategy of taking the points in a shootout.
Auburn (-22.5) over New Mexico State 28-13
The Tigers are going to be test driving true freshman Jonathan Wallace as the full-time quarterback this weekend. That sounds more like a practice/scrimmage attitude than a setup for a blowout.
Georgia (-14) over Ole Miss 38-27
The most obvious cover by an underdog of the week. This spread is already 3.5 points lower than where it opened.
Alabama (-8.5) over LSU 17-3
Do you think LSU is going to be able to score that many points on this Alabama team?
