Ole Miss Vs. Arkansas Preview: Will the Scoreboard Operator Get Treated for Cramps?

The teams are both fighting for bowl eligibility, but it hasn't been because their offenses are bad

Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIRE

Mississippi Rebels vs. Arkansas Razorbacks, 12:21 p.m. ET, SEC Network

The one thing that this game probably won't lack is offense. Ole Miss comes in averaging 32.7 points a contest and churning out 440.7 yards a game with Hugh Freeze's offense. JohnL Smith's Hogs have scored 73 points in the last two games -- the scoring average is skewed by a shutout against Alabama and the Texas A&M beatdown -- and generating 427.1 yards per contest in total offense.

Then there are the defense. They are expected to be in attendance for today's game. Arkansas' defense is solid against the run and good at getting sacks. And, well, that's about it. As for Ole Miss' defense, it's a little bit better across the board. But the passing defense could use a little bit of work. Which is not at all a cause for concern with Tyler Wilson lining up for Arkansas.

So if you want a Big 12-type game with a lot of offense, this is the one for you. The shootout might get close to the SEC record for points in a regulation game.
