Would love to provide you with an overview of how the last weekend changed BlogPoll voters' perceptions of the SEC -- who went up, who lost ground after a weekend with few interesting games. But it seems that whole "few interesting games" was the key phrase -- and nothing changed at all.
Results for Week 5
SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
That's not just your eyes; it's a blank delta behind every SEC team on the board. Which is not all that unusual, given (as we've noted) the somewhat modest slate. Texas A&M is getting ever closer to poking its had in the Top 25, but the Aggies aren't quite there yet.
There isn't much remarkable about the poll at all, actually. I still don't see the basis for ranking Oklahoma on a resume ballot, but some people are probably still viewing things through a preseason prism, so the Sooners are still there. Plus, Oklahoma came in second on the list of teams that cause the most disagreement, meaning that neither folks like me nor folks who are putting the Sooners high on the ballot are alone.
Aside from that: Who the heck is still voting for Virginia Tech?
