Steve Spurrier made a major announcement today with this news about Marcus Lattimore:
Marcus Lattimore (hip) may not play against Gators, Spurrier said. Kenny Miles expected to start.

"May" doesn't mean he's out, but it does mean that he'll likely be less than 100% if he does get to go after all. Running backs coach Everette Sands does think Lattimore will play, for what that's worth, and Spurrier isn't quite sure how to put this on the injury report.
Lattimore's workload has been down this year, as he's averaging just 18.4 carries per game. He has 129 carries in the Gamecocks' seven games this year, versus the 163 he had in the only seven games he played in 2011. He averaged over 22 carries per game in his freshman year, and both of his first two years he had games of more than 30 carries. This season his high is 24, which came in the big win over Georgia.
Lattimore is not alone. The injury report looks like this right now:
Ailing at USC: Lattimore (hip), Clowney (foot), Sanders (flu), Ellington (flu), Legree (flu), Matulis (flu), Gibson (flu), Quarles (shldr)

The guys with the flu right now will probably be better by Saturday, but this is not a good week to be having guys missing practice and being iffy for the game.
