It's easy for us SEC homers with our weak nonconference schedules to puff our chests and say that Florida should be No. 2 -- but, let's be real, Oregon does have that stunning win over Arkansas State. And, sure, the Ducks haven't played anyone ranked in the BlogPoll Top 25 as of this week -- but, hey, it's not like Florida has defeated the No. 6 and No. 20 teams while playing one fewer FCS team and one fewer midmajor than Oregon.
Or maybe it is exactly like that. But preseason expectations are preseason expectations even in the BlogPoll, and apparently bloggers are no more eager to throw away those preseason expectations than the AP writers and coaches they always slam for not throwing away their preseason expectations. Or maybe they've been listening too much to Michael Wilbon, whom Andy Hutchins flat-out destroys here.
That said, the same preseason-uber-alles trend is basically advantaging Alabama right now, so we're not going to complain about it too loudly. (And, just like when Alabama appears lower on my ballot than on others, this will all straighten itself out in the end.)

Other than that, there's not a ton of remarkable stuff here. LSU is ahead of South Carolina -- which, yeah.
