SEC Tournament Day 2 Open Thread

New, comments

Here's the schedule. As with yesterday, all games are on the SEC Network and all times are Eastern.

Alabama-Georgia has huge implications for the Big Dance; Georgia could survive a loss, but Bama almost certainly cannot. Despite the sense of urgency, I think Georgia will find a way to win the rematch and put the Tide's dancing hopes on life support.

Kentucky will be looking to avenge its regular season loss to the Rebels, and they should pull it off in front of one of its patented "Catlanta" crowds. Florida-Tennessee might show us if these Gators are really that good and have enough killer instinct to beat UT for a third straight game. This is a very good Florida team, and I think they do. In a surprise pick of the day, I'll take Mississippi State to upset Vanderbilt. The Commodores didn't look great yesterday, albeit a man down, and MSU is uncannily good in the SEC Tournament.

Here's your rooting guide for the other games of the day, assuming you're wanting Georgia and Alabama to make it to the NCAA Tournament:
