Year2's Week 6 Picks

Last Week: 3-4 straight up, 3-4 against the spread

Season: 31-12 straight up, 15-18-1 against the spread

Mississippi State (-18.5) over UAB 31-17

These Bulldogs will win, but I'm not sure if they'll cover that line. It's fairly big given how MSU has played lately.

South Carolina (-21) over Kentucky 23-7

My strategy of not taking South Carolina to cover spreads when favored is about the only one I have that's working, so I'll keep riding it. Plus, I have no idea what's going to happen with Connor Shaw at quarterback.

LSU (-13.5) over Florida 27-3

In 2009, Florida beat LSU in what turned out to be a snoozer of a game. The LSU offense obviously couldn't move the ball whatsoever, so UF's offense stayed as vanilla as possible to protect its recently concussed quarterback and not screw up the win. LSU will return the favor this year, though its offense will do a bit more as it has no similar injury to account for.

Georgia (-2) over Tennessee 24-21

The Bulldogs' defense will be the difference in the game, though it could easily go the other way if the Vols' running game gets moving at all.

Alabama (-29) over Vanderbilt 48-3

A college football snuff film.

Arkansas (-10) over Auburn 44-27

Between Jake Bequette's return and the awful Auburn pass defense, Arkansas should win comfortably.
