Cupcakes. Everybody plays them. But we don't want to give anybody credit for doing so. That's why we're lumping them all into one small post and giving you a fun fact about any bad midmajors or FCS teams playing SEC teams each week. Call it our silent, and likely futile, protest.
Jacksonville State at Kentucky, 12 p.m. ET, ESPNU: Well well well. The FCS team that defeated the worst SEC team of 2010 now faces the worst SEC team of 2011. Jacksonville State is also the only other team in Division I football to use the Gamecocks mascot. Kentucky 23, Jacksonville State 11
Army at Vanderbilt, 7 p.m. ET, ESPNU: This is not a sign of disrespect to our nation's troops so much as a statement of fact about their football team. The Knights have beaten Northwestern by a touchdown and blasted Tulane, but have lost by more than three touchdowns to Northern Illinois and Ball State and also have losses against Miami (OH) and San Diego State. Interesting fact: Army fans can watch this game at their own stadium. Vanderbilt 24, Army 20
