Through three games, Alabama's offense has rolled up an amazing 1,626 yards of offense. Sure, the degree of difficulty hasn't been terribly high outside of Penn State, but that's good enough for fourth most in the country.
So how does Alabama's offense compare so far to some other notable yardage totals?
The '08 Tulsa amount is the largest ever recorded in NCAA history. The Tide won't get there because it doesn't play in the wacky CUSA. However, Bama's per game pace of 542 yards is not all that far off from that Tulsa team's 570 yards per game. It just goes to show how frightfully good the Crimson Tide offense has been so far this season.
