With three short words in a text message, Chris Rainey has likely ended his football career. He was arrested early this morning for aggravated stalking after sending his on-again-off-again girlfriend a text message saying, "Time to die."
It's hard to get more stupid than that, and I expect that his removal from the Florida team will be coming later today. We don't have all the details so there's maybe a 0.5% chance Rainey makes it through this fine, but people rarely call the police based on a text message if they don't believe they have a really good reason to.
