Live-blogging Steve Spurrier

10:56 a.m. ET Cops to not voting for Tim Tebow. "In actuality, I didn't do much voting at all. I didn't fill the sheet out." Thursday morning, saw it in the paper. Looked at quickly and signed off on it after director of operations filled it out. "I apologize to Tim Tebow. We should not have screwed that up." Tried to change selection. Able to change his vote to Tebow in today. "So it's unanimous. ... Tim Tebow is not only the best quarterback in this league, he's the best quarterback in this country." Apologizes again. "I messed it up. I take full blame for it."

Last in all this is that Spurrier said he plans to be back at SEC Media Days next year.

10:59 a.m. ET Addresses coaching changes "A few folks just left on their own. A few were asked to leave." Didn't lose any recruits after the bowl game. He sees this as a sign that many players still see South Carolina as a potential winner. He doesn't say this, but it's also possible they're not real bright.

Stephen Garcia. "He really was not ready to play last year. But hopefully he's better prepared to play this year."

11:03 a.m. ET Haven't decided who will call plays yet. Spurrier assumes he'll have offensive coordinator title -- of course.

11:05 a.m. ET When talking about coaching changes, Spurrier said he wants to be here next year, then adds an interesting sentence. "If it doesn't go pretty well, change is part of the coaching profession." For him?

11:05 a.m. ET He's embarrassed about the Tebow snafu. "I didn't sleep worth a dang last night, thinking about it."

11:07 a.m. ET "A new four-year stint is starting."

11:08 a.m. ET Saw some improvement in offensive line and running game this spring. "Certainly, it had nowhere to go but up."

11:09 a.m. ET Change ballot process in the future? "I just need to thoroughly look at the ballots before we send them in." Looks at Top 25 and changes them, "this, that and the other."

11:12 a.m. ET "I think Tim Tebow will be an excellent quarterback if they say here's what we're going to run. We're going to run what you've been doing." Spurrier has been talking about his All-SEC quarterback selection more than his own muddled quarterback situation, but Head Ball Coach brings it back by saying he wants Garcia to show Tebow's commitment.

11:15 a.m. ET Another Tebow question. There is audible grumbling from even the reporters now. "I'll talk to you later about it."

11:17 a.m. ET "Stephen [Garcia] will get most the snaps and hopefully he can stay healthy." And sober.

11:18 a.m. ET He's asked about the coaches yapping and whether they should win first. "When you're 7-6, like I am now, you don't have a lot to say. ... It's best to let your teams do your talking for you as a coach."

11:20 a.m. ET He doesn't begrudge Meyer his success at Florida.

11:22 a.m. ET Response to a question about Lorenzo Ward: "Adding who? Oh, Coach Ward, yeah."

11:24 a.m. ET Asked about the strength of the Western Division. "I see both sides pretty close, really. ... But they could be a little stronger than the East. Who knows, really?"

11:27 a.m. ET So what do we do now? The Great Tebow Robbery has been solved.
