Live-blogging Houston Nutt

12:05 p.m. ET Had fun last year. "When you start believing, then you start acheiving." Losses of Michael Oher and Peria Jerry hurt.

12:08 p.m. ET "Before we get started I just want to go ahead and tell you that I voted for Tim Tebow." Now that that's out of the way, there's nothing left to see here. Except, you know, the last team to beat Tebow and one of three favorites in the SEC West.

12:11 p.m. ET On Tebow's speech post-Ole Miss: "Not only does he make THE PROMISE, he carries it out." Houston Nutt read THE PROMISE to his team as well. Tebow's tears are so powerful that they can turn around two teams.

12:14 p.m. ET "Strong-armed quarterbacks think they can throw it anywhere." Nutt, of course, prefers that they throw it nowhere and leave the passing to the running backs.

12:15 p.m. ET The expectations perception: "If you looked at the times that we're picked high, we had some major injuries." After last year, the expectations were inevitably going to come. "We knew this would happen. ... And now you've got to embrace it, you've got to handle it."

12:17 p.m. ET Atlanta or bust? "It's very hard to get there. Things have to go right. ... For a team that had four previous losing seasons, I wouldn't say that."

12:20 p.m. ET His secret to beating Florida: (1) Turnovers; (2) "They're going to make plays. Limit those plays." Well, if that's all there is to it ...

12:24 p.m. ET The signing limit of 28? "Was that about my number I signed?" No, coach, not at all. Signing someone makes them "part of the Ole Miss family." Can give them an incentive to get back to Ole Miss by doing well in juco. Meanwhile, it helped build relationship with juco coaches. But isn't that one of the reasons people have a problem with the practice? It's kind of a pay-for-play, only with players instead of money.

12:28 p.m. ET "Right now, we're the hunted a little bit."

12:34 p.m. ET Made a point that Jevan Snead threw for 2,700 yards and 26 TDs. Meanwhile, LSU will "look beautiful." Interpret.

12:36 p.m. ET Goes on a riff about the troops fighting for freedom so "we can talk about college football." This seems more earnest than Saban tying Bull Run to voting for Snead.
