Editorial Note

I don't want to go into too much detail on this, because this is a sports blog and not a personal one. But I feel compelled to say that posting, while I hope it won't be "light" over the next few weeks, will not be as robust as I had hoped.

A little more than a week ago, I got a call from a vice president at my company. (For those who don't know, I work as a bureau reporter in Atlanta for several papers in Georgia and, on some projects and such, in other parts of the country.) Essentially, the bureau was being sliced from four positions to one, but I was being offered a job in Tallahassee as a bureau reporter for a couple of the company's Florida newspapers.

In many ways, this is a good move for me, even though I'll end up in ACC country. (And, no, ABC, Atlanta is not an ACC market.) But the holidays will obviously not be the only obstacle to posting over the next few weeks. With luck, this move will cause as little disruption to the blog as necessary. My hope would be to get through the bowl season as well as possible, then have a week or so break, after which blogging would resume. That's the plan, anyway.

Thank you in advance for understanding.
