As long anticipated, the Warriors will play football in the MWC, while the majority of the other Warrior/Wahine teams will play in the Big West. For us, it's huge because that's an amazing conference on the women's basketball side...last year, it was the 7th-ranked conference in the country, RPI. And see Air Force was only 3-27, so it's pretty phenomenal - we'll have our work cut out for us. TCU will be in it next year still and they're good. San Diego State was a Sweet 16 team so pretty good conference.

As noted before, I'm not sure Miner fans have any desire to go to a BYU-less Mountain West Conference, although, I think we would enjoy being conference rivals with New Mexico again. Tha said, VA Libertarian wrote a smashing FanPost over at Mountain West Connection explaining why, if the MWC did expand, UTEP should be next in line for a MWC invite (particularly over the Houston Cougars). It's a heck of a read.
