Vanderbilt offensive line coach Herb Hand knows the two offensive minds in the national title game better than perhaps anyone. He worked with Gus Malzahn for two seasons and helped teach Chip Kelly about spread offense football. He has some interesting things to say about these two guys. Also of note is that three of the last six national title game participants have been adherents to the hurry-up offense: both teams this year and 2008 Oklahoma. Given how much coaches tend to be copycats, this could be a sign of big things to come.
