Adidas Takes Blame for Profane Miss State Uniform
Maybe next they'll take full responsibility and change their ways for making hideous outfits that don't have profanities on them.
SEC Storied: Shaq & Dale Preview
It looks like the next installment in the 30 for 30-esque "SEC Storied" documentary series is going to be about Shaquille O'Neal, LSU coach Dale Brown and ... David Duke? This being ESPN, it's safe to assume that the film will find some way to tie all those together and make it a life-affirming story of some sort. The movie itself will be shown April 13 on the SEC Network.
Who will get $4 million to finish last in the West?
It's going to happen. Someone will get paid $4 million to finish seventh in the West.
Georgia Will Play UNC in 2016 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game
Seems odd that UGA doesn't play in this game more often.
Trade Edition of Mock Draft Has 7 SEC
The latest SBN mock draft has some trades baked in this time. Seven SEC players make the first round, including four in the top ten.
DISH's Internet TV Package Offers SEC Network
We've mentioned DISH's Sling TV at least once before here. It's a way to watch a limited number of channels via an Internet-only subscription, meaning you don't need a cable or satellite package to get it. We knew ESPN and ESPN2 were part of the base deal with a sports add-on of some sort. Now, we know that ESPNU and the SEC Network are part of that sports tier. It's $20 for the standard channels and $5 extra to get the sports deal with the SECN.
Why isn't Michael Sam getting interest from the NFL?
The Missouri product isn't even being invited in for tryouts by pro teams. It's either a massive coincidence or the complete opposite of a coincidence.
College Football Playoff Won't Budge on New Year's Eve
Larry Scott: "We like the concept that we've developed for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Going forward we think that's the right model for college football." The moral of our story, ladies and gentlemen, is that massive television conglomerates should closely review 12-year contracts before signing them. Or shouldn't assume that they can sign 12-year contracts and then try to change the deal in the second year. Whether New Year's Eve is the best date or not for the semifinals next year is open for debate, but it's good to see the College Football Playoff stick to its guns on something like this. It signals a willingness to stand up to ESPN that's all for the better, and maybe a willingness to stand up to the NFL's potential attempt to undermine the national championship game.
Johnny Manziel Is Entering Treatment
He's got some personal demons to battle, and hopefully he gets through this a better person on the other side.
Google Fiber Coming to ATL, CLT, Nashville, Raleigh
PSA: Google is going to expand its home fiber Internet and TV service to Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, and Raleigh-Durham. If you're not familiar, it's incredibly fast Internet and a pretty expansive TV package for a price that's similar to (or less than) what cable companies charge. And yes, the TV package carries the SEC Network. You're probably going to want to jump on this train.
Latest Mock Draft Has 8 SEC in First Round
The new slate from SBN's Mocking the Draft has eight SEC players in it. Or, seven if you don't still count DGB.
DISH Announces Streaming-Only ESPN Plan
DISH has just announced a new streaming package that includes ESPN and ESPN2 among a handful of other channels from other networks that will cost $20 per month. We'll see how the execution goes, but this is the first legal way to get the big four-letter without a traditional cable or satellite subscription. ESPN has an ESPN Player streaming-only plan of its own, but it's only available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Big 12 Officials Will Call National Championship Game
It's true that the Big 12 is the one Power 5 conference without a team in the semifinals, so it's a natural pick. Still: it won't be an SEC or Pac-12 crew doing the game, so that's very good news.
Orange Bowl Will Allow Cowbells

SEC Coaches' Awards for 2014 Season Announced
There are no real surprises here -- for example, Amari Cooper is the Offensive Player of the Year (well, duh). One of the few contests that could have gone more than one way was Coach of the Year, which went to Gary Pinkel. That's probably the right choice. Whatever you might think of Missouri's improbable SEC East title, it was a heck of a coaching job to get the Tigers to Atlanta for the second straight year.
Tennessee Announces Extension for Butch Jones
HART: We are pleased to announce an extension for Butch Jones and giving him a raise.

There was some speculation out there that Michigan native and former Central Michigan head coach Butch Jones would be in the running for the Michigan Wolverines' opening. Not anymore, if he ever was.

— Ross Dellenger (@DellengerAdv) December 7, 2014
That one's a little bit of a surprise, but an interesting match-up for the Bayou Bengals. Notre Dame gets to take one of the ACC's bowl berths if they're within one win. That also confirms that the TaxSlayer will have a B1G opponent
Doesn't Look Like Speculation Anymore: Mizzou to Citrus

SEC Championship Game Staying in Atlanta
As the AJC notes, the only thing that's possibly notable about this deal is the 10-year length of it. The Georgia Dome is going to be taken down, so that's not an option, and there aren't many other centrally-located stadiums capable of handling the game. Some SEC West fans are probably not thrilled with this, but the game will be in Atlanta for a while.
