ESPN wants to put Texas Tech's game against Texas State on the Longhorn Network. The WAC, Texas State's new conference, has the rights to the broadcast and has recognized the LHN as a legit ESPN property. Therefore, it is an actual possibility that the game could appear there. Tech wants nothing of this. In fact, the school is thinking about canceling the game altogether, paying the buyout, and only having 11 games on the slate this fall. That's how much TTU wants to avoid appearing on the LHN. I'd say that anyone from A&M's leadership who might stumble across this story will sleep well tonight. (H/T Mark Ennis) UPDATE Chip Brown says ESPN has backed off and won't show the game on the LHN.
