When healthy, Marcus Lattimore has been one of the best and most effective running backs in the SEC over the past two seasons. The "when healthy" part has been an issue, though.
Turns out, he didn't really do his conditioning properly. Or, for that matter, know as much about the offense as he should have. He's correcting both of those issues, which means he could be headed for his best season yet in 2012. He'll need to be that good if the Gamecocks are to overcome Georgia's weak schedule and win the East this fall.
