SEC Television Schedule, Week 13

Al Messerschmidt

The times and networks for all of this week's games.

It's rivalry week in the SEC, something that will more than make up for last week's pathetic slate of games. The only really interesting game was a rivalry, that between LSU and Ole Miss. If we can get a few more of those this weekend, it should be a tremendous time in the southeast.

This rivalry is finally back to having a game between top 10 teams, something that was a regular event throughout the '90s. There's a lot of extra meaning on this one beyond just that. An FSU win would keep alive its small chances of playing for a national title, while a UF win would keep alive the SEC's small chances of putting two teams in the national title game. It's good to see this one back.

This has serious blowout potential as John L. Smith is the lamest of ducks now, but I'd love to see these teams give us one of their patented wild and close games to close out the regular season.

This Yellow Jackets team has had some wild ups and downs this year, but it appears to be on an upswing. This could be uncomfortable if the Bulldogs are looking past this one.

Two teams, both with fired head coaches, looking for their first SEC wins. Feel the excitement!

The Commodores can deprive their fellow gold and black, private institution of a bowl bid with a win here.

It's a battle between the last two national champions, but you won't hear about that too much because the last one is about a five-touchdown favorite. I kind of get why CBS picked this one, mainly that UF-FSU falls under the ACC TV deal this year, but I don't imagine too many people will be watching the second half.

I mean, really, this Egg Bowl will be far more interesting than the Iron Bowl. Ole Miss needs to win to help the league fill out its bowl slots.

This is another game that I'm sure CBS would have loved to take, but alas, the SEC TV contracts don't supercede all other TV contracts. Yet.

Like an Ole Miss win in the Egg Bowl, the league could also use a Missouri win here to help fill out the bowl lineup. I think the other one has a better shot of happening.
