"In other words, it’s more than just the question of over-signing or grayshirting," Slive said. "It’s a question of over-signing, grayshirting, early admissions, summer school admission. We’ve put together what we call a bit of a package to address these issues, that will give our people a chance to think about these issues in a more global fashion. So then it will be an important discussion item in Destin."
Slive to introduce legislation on oversigning and roster management
SEC commissioner Mike Slive will introduce some sort of legislation regarding the practices of oversigning and roster management at this year's SEC meetings in Destin. He's not saying what his proposal will consist of yet, and it's worth noting that he can't enact rules on his own. The member institutions will vote on his measure at the meetings.

Hey, it's the offseason.
Drama is drama. :-)
Ann Arbor behaves slatternly.
If the rules change...
… then I expect LSU to obey the new rules. It’s pretty simple. I get irritated by being called a cheater for complying with rules, but if the rules change, then so should LSU’s practices. I don’t advocate my alma mater breaking the rules.
We’ll see what the proposal is.
