Auburn Makes SEC 3-for3 With GameDay
After College GameDay visited Atlanta for LSU-UNC two weeks ago and Tuscaloosa for Bama-Penn State, the guys are going to their third straight SEC game. They're going to the plains to be at Auburn-Clemson this weekend.
It's not a particularly good slate of games to choose from this weekend after last weekend's shiny duds, but they did pass up some intriguing games like Texas-Texas Tech and Iowa-Arizona. I guess the Auburn versus Auburn-with-a-lake story line was too good to pass up.

AU/Clemson
I think this storyline is more about the imploding ACC and whether Clemson can put some shine on the ACC mudball. I’m not too keen on Auburn being in the limelight like this, but it is what it is.
Surprised
I thought for sure it was gonna be Iowa-Arizona, a fairly interesting cross-regional matchup. But no, the SEC domination continues…
SEC! SEC! SEC!

And The Valley Shook!
Not to mention Iowa-Arizona is the only match up of ranked teams this weekend.

Kick of Time
The Arizona – Iowa game has a 7:30 pacific / 10:30 eastern kickoff time. I’m assuming that deterred ESPN as it seems to be the most intriguing game. Not only does it have the only combination of ranked teams, but is also an OOC match-up featuring conference title contenders.
ESPN doesn't care about start times for the featured games
They’ve been to plenty of places on the Left Coast for GD. It’s all about atmosphere, and apparently they needed a little bit more Dixie in their lives.

I wonder how many CGDs the SEC will get this year.
You would think there should be at least 2 more since I expect the Alabama/Florida game to get it hands down and the SEC champ game to have it also. Any other games yall think will see CGD?
If South Carolina beats Auburn,
you will have a 5-0 and top ten South Carolina hosting a (likely) undefeated and top ranked Alabama. The only reason that would not get Game Day is a desire from ESPN to send the show to another part of the country. The multiple Game Day visits is one of the side benefits of the deal with ESPN. Previously, they overlooked higher quality SEC matchups to go to the site of an ABC game. Those politics now benefit us.
