"I think Tuberville and his staff are a little scary," one Big 12 assistant coach said. "They are really doing a great job in the state of Texas. He has brought that SEC mentality of grinding and grinding when it comes to recruiting. They are a lot tougher than I thought they would be and it's certainly different then [former coach Mike] Leach and his staff."
Tommy Tuberville Scares Someone in the Big 12
You can take the Riverboat Gambler out of the SEC, but apparently you can't take the SEC out of the Riverboat Gambler. This just strikes me as funny because having someone with an actual work ethic regarding recruiting at Texas Tech is enough to spook someone else in the Big 12.
If they think his recruiting is scary, just wait until they find out about how he rode out of Mississippi in a pine box to take the job at Auburn. (H/T: DTN)

Is Tuberville going for more than just character
now that he is in Texas? Because at least for the last couple of years he was at Auburn, I didn’t really think he was trying all that hard at recruiting… duck hunting in Arkansas, etc.

So if all it takes to scare people in the Big 12 is trying,
just imagine how easy it is to roll the Big Rust Belt.

I thought tubbs would go..
back to a & m, if sherman gets fired he might be the replacement. He could bring A&M back to prominence much like he did with auburn.
