Why?
I guess because a Cap One-Rose-Fiesta tripleheader is better than an Outback-Rose-Fiesta tripleheader. But this is still confusing.

The Capital One Bowl is moving from ABC to ESPN in a deal that will feature the game on the sports network through 2018.

Meanwhile, ESPN has moved the Outback Bowl to 1 p.m. on ABC, and picked up the Gator Bowl, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The agreements with the Outback Bowl and Gator Bowl run through 2014.

All those bowls are now Big Ten-SEC now, by the way.

Jon Gruden is apparently a Tim Tebow fan after working with him, though whether that's a good or bad thing depends on your point of view. This is the man who used to have eight quarterbacks in Tampa Bay camp and no one who could actually play the game.

Gruden on Tebow:

He's a great person and a heck of a quarterback. He's a courageous, competitive, playmaking, indestructible force, and I think he's going to be a great success.

An indestructible force? Are we talking about Tebow or the Juggernaut?

It seems clear that either Tebow or his handlers think NFL success is guaranteed, so it's no big deal to spend time at Daytona instead of in training. Or, and this is far more dangerous, his handlers want to make cash on Tebow before his star power runs out.

Tebow and his handlers have every right to make as much money as humanly possible. But like the family who buys a $250,000 house because they think they will always afford it, they are narrow minded.
