Sprints Is More Concerned With College Baseball Than Gary Brown // 02.16.10

Gary Brown gets arrested for ALLEGEDLY attacking not one, but two women ALLEGEDLY. And, man, is he a snappy dresser.

And his lawyer is Huntley Johnson, of course
But Jeremy Fowler suggests it Brown might not be on the team much longer.

I’m not sure if I see this ending well for Brown — not from a legal standpoint, but as a member of the Gators. Brown already entered fall camp out of shape and with a subpar work ethic that kept him off the field in 2009. The Gators are stacked at defensive line even before the star-studded 2010 class steps on campus.

Florida appears to be two scholarships over the 85-player limit, so if Florida can’t rely on natural attrition to downsize, Brown’s arrest could make the first decision easy for UF.

That's right, college baseball begins this Friday once the Big Ten-imposed uniform start date arrives. Not that it matters so much this year, with even some of the SEC baseball fields covered in snow. But it's time. We'll have more preview-type stuff beginning tomorrow.
