Best Wishes to Nick Bell

This should be nothing but a season of celebration for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are 7-2 and consistently finding themselves in the polls. They're not playing for bowl eligibility, but bowl positioning. Their head coach has energized the fan base and more, they beat Florida on the road for the first time since the 1960s, and they have a chance to really shake up the West division standings with their final three games.

Instead, they have to deal with this.

DE Nick Bell is currently fighting for his life against cancer. Bell had a lesion removed from his forehead a couple years ago, one that turned out to be cancerous. At the beginning of last month, he had a mass removed from his brain that ended up to be a form of skin cancer. That cancer has metastasized.

Bell's condition has worsened over the past few days, and he's currently in intensive care at UAB Hospital. It would be a great story if Bell could pull through and provide a feel good story for this year. Cancer is an insidious thing though, and the reports are saying that Bell is fighting for his life right now.
