All the drama over Brett Favre is one thing I'm glad is left in the NFL's domain. Or, at least it was all in the NFL's domain.

Brett's nephew, Dylan Favre, has committed to play for Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. That ensures that for the next four years, we will be unable to escape the long shadow of Captain Indecisive, for any time Dylan does anything notable, we will undoubtedly hear about his famous uncle.

Thanks Mullen. You did this to us.

Not only was the nephew of Brett Favre a high school standout this year,

but the son of Steve McNair—aptly named Steve McNair Jr.—was a true all-purpose threat for Oak Grove High School. McNair will be attending Southern Miss.

I will be pulling my teeth out now...

Every year, for the next four years.

And, I’m going to go out on a HUGE limb and suggest that ESPN (who you may have heard, likes this whole synergy bit) may broadcast a few Bullie games with maybe just a few Brett Favre references.

Ugh. I need a drink now.
