Go Vols Xtra is reporting that Jesse Scroggins is bound for the Trojans. (Thanks to Joel for calling this to my attention.) This is obviously not what Lane Kiffin needed to hear the day before his appearance at SEC Media Days. Now half the day will be about his comments and half the day will be about him lacking a high-caliber quarterback despite his master plan. Glad they committed all those secondary violations -- I'd hate to see how their RECRUITING would be going without them.

A long way to go
this makes a lot of sense for scroggins. Matt Barkley enters his freshman year at USC and now Scroggins commits?? I am not sure about that decision. We have a long way to go until we get to national signing day. Bottom line is this, if Lane Kiffin can take Crompton and mold him into a decent productive QB then we will get someone to defect and sign with us. This will show what the UT coaches can do with a QB that really hasn’t produced since he has been in college. If they can turn Crompton into a productive QB then that will turn some heads and we will sign someone. Still don’t understand Scroggins committing to USC??? not sure what is up there but something smells fishy.
