Tennessee a 27-point underdog against Florida
Yes, you read that correctly: 27 points. Sure, it's only preseason, but I don't know that I've ever seen that large a line between two of the conference's traditional powers. For comparison's sake, Florida is "only" giving 16 to Georgia and giving 17 to South Carolina. (HT: Blutarsky)

That line will move . . .
. . . up.
Anybody who’s willing to take Tennessee plus 27 at this point hasn’t studied enough tape on Urban Meyer.
The math is simple: Corch Meyers will know the spread and go to great pains to cover it. I’m not saying that critically, I’m just making an observation about how the man goes about his business.
I wouldn’t touch Tennessee at less than +40. I doubt you’ll get many takers at +27.
Go 'Dawgs!
Gotta love Meyer.
Always has his fans’ wallets at heart.

I'm actually wondering if it might be taken off the board
My apologies to Tennessee fans, but I would laugh for weeks.
Team Speed Kills. All SEC, all the time.
Dear Kyle
You may never see this reply post as it is more than a week old. I hope you do. I won’t even both to ask if you are a gambling man. Clearly you are not. I arrive at this conclusion not because I know you are a Lutheran, but because I read your short reply. It speaks volumes.
The line will almost certainly move down. I would even bet on that. If the line does happen to move up, I will be placing a large sum of money on the Volunteers. And I will be winning said large sum of money from whoever I place my bet with. I wish that man were you. I really do. Unfortunately for me, we have already established that you are not a gambling man. If this changes between now and then, I graciously invite you to get in touch with me.
"I won't even bother"
I either can’t type or I can’t spell. But, hey, at least I know how to set a line.
Not so fast.....
I think 27 is a fair spread at this point. There are also too many unknowns at this point to determine whether it will grow or shrink by gameday (injuries, etc.). What we do know is this: 30-6. Gators defeat UT in Knox-vegas last season. I was at the game and it was over very quickly. Meyer called off the dogs and went vanilla as soon as the lead was safe – continually pounding Manny Moody into the middle of the line in what turned out to be Moody’s best game of the season.
Meyer had no real animosity toward Fulmer. The opposite is true with Kiffin. Meyer will be focused on teaching the new SEC coach a lesson in manners. They say home field is worth 10 points in the conference. This is the most anticipated home game in Gainesville in years. The atmosphere will be electric and the noise deafening. It will be UF’s first real game after 2 pre-season games. Tennessee still has a very good defense, but they should have problems scoring or even moving the ball against a sickening defense. After a while, even great defenses get tired chasing speedy athletes around with little rest…..
I’m just saying….
Who said home field was worth 10 points?
