Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Wednesday, SEC commissioner Mike Slive went a step further, suspending the officiating crew for its next assignment on Oct. 31 for a "series of calls that have occurred during the last several weeks," Slive said in a statement...

"I believe our officiating program is the best in the country, however, there are times when these actions must be taken," Slive said. "While only a few calls have been identified, the entire crew shoulders responsibility for each play. I have taken this action because there must be accountability in our officiating program. Our institutions expect the highest level of officiating in all of our sports and it is the duty of the conference office to uphold that expectation."

Finally, I can let it go

I haven’t really said that the refs cost the Hogs or Georgia the game or thought there was some sort of conspirancy. I rather just thought it was terrible officiating. And I also couldn’t believe that the same crew was going to officiate this week’s marquee? ( at least it’s the one on CBS) game, after two terrible weeks of nationally televised screw ups. I’m happy with this action because at least the SEC is showing it’s doing something rather than just saying oops.

Great....All I gotta say....

Is those clowns better return all the money we paid them in advance for their work in the UF/UGA matchup on the 31st. Now what are we gonna do??!!

No worries, skigator

You’ve got that backup bribe to Penn Wagers and crew who will not only call a celebration penalty on AJ Green for smiling, but will also penalize Georgia for unnecessary roughness each time they tackle Tim Tebow to the ground.

If Florida can’t protect Timmy more than they did against Arkansas, that’s going to be a lot of penalties.

Penn Wagers

This is terribly unfair of me, but does anyone else think that’s a hilariously ironic surname for a college football ref?

Although it could be better....

If his name were something like I. Wynne-Betts.

If only the referees had been a little more sneaky

We could of advanced this deal a little longer.
