We all saw it coming. Who will replace him?
(Question mark added by cocknfire. Birmingham News says he's out, but it's unclear if he was fired or resigned. Obviously, more on this later, but a great job of using FanShots.)

what i've read...
was that Tuberville wasn’t willing to change up his offensive staff to the two Jays’ liking, so he got fired.

The question that strikes me is who will they get?
There aren’t a whole lot of guys available. Petrino has denied interest, Mike Leach is in talks with Washington (and supposedly a friend of Tony Franklin). I’ve heard Paul Johnson is a candidate, but I could see why he’d stay at GA Tech.

The term resignation
Is to save face. He is still getting his buyout, so he had to be forced to resign. If he quit, they wouldn’t owe him a dime.
